I went from home screen music to artists which are in wide view.
I went to an artist, it's albums were in right view with forced view toggled on, I went to views and changed it to wide. I exited back out to home screen.
I went back into music and then artists and chose a different artist and went to albums which were in right view not wide.
What have I missed?

@melons2 Going into Views and changing the view type only changes it for that specific album (you were using albums in your example). In order to change the forced view type for all albums you need to view an album and then access the top menu and under Organize click on the item under Forced View labeled "-Forced View for Albums" (see screen shot below). You will then get a secondary menu where you can select the forced view you want to set for all albums.

@melons2 Dunno. Are you running the latest version of the mod (8/05/23) and did you do a skin reset which is required to pickup all the updates?

Yes.
This afternoon I even went as far as....
Uninstalling the MQ9 skin.
Reinstalling the original skin through the KODI repo, then I installed the Mod through @latts9923 repo.
Then I went Home screen> Settings> Skin settings> Restore settings> Show skin reset button> Reset skin.

I still haven't got the same options as pictured..............??

Are you accessing those songs via the Files option in Music? If so, you can't access the Forced Views that way.

Thank you for mods of the aeon skin that work on various Kodi versions.
I was on Leia for a long time, but after checking out your mod switched to Matrix and continued to use the skin that I like.
In the past I used to use titan and mimic, but they are gone now and only Aeon remains of the skins I like to use.
I'm now checking nexus and thinking of switching.
I've tried out MQ9, looks good. Unfortunately they have removed the wall, and the one that's supposed to be used instead of it is not really a good replacement IMHO.
Any chance you could port it from MQ8 to MQ9?
If not I'll just stay with MQ8.

@melons2 Do you have all the required addons installed? In particular I believe forced views requires Skin Helper Service. Also make sure you are installing the latest version of Skin Helper Service (1.20.0). Not sure but you may also need Skin Helper Service Widgets (latest version 1.20.0).

When playing radio streams using, for example. Layout 6.
There is a spinning blank CD disc displayed if there is no discart available (which seems to be the case when playing radio streams). If there is no clearlogo it displays the name of the artist in black text. However, mostly it shows a clearlogo.
1. Both show at the same time. Is there any way of just showing one or the other?
2. The clearlogo is displayed too high and is not totally positioned on the disc. Can it be moved slightly so that it is totally displayed on the disc?

I added the Wall view from MQ 8 in the Multi-Mod. If you install the Multi-Mod version of MQ 9 from my repo (link in first post), select View Type-32.

I moved the clearlogo down so that it displays in the blank CD...layout 4 had the same problem. I also changed the code so that the artist text will only display if the clearlogo is missing. Thanks for letting me know!

You can also disable that by turning off "LOGO IN CD" or change the "DISC ART" setting to "IF AVAILABLE".

I've noticed inconsequent behaviour in the topmenu concerning the text for sorting movies. Check screenshot. I prefer to sort my movies by title and ascending (A-Z). However the text in the topmenu displays the status "Descending". That is confusing. Imho the correct text should be Ascending (A-Z/ 0-99) and not Descending. The MQ7 mod shows the texts correctly. You can do a quick test by select By Year and selecting Ascending. The oldest movie is being displayed at top

I copied the China and South Korean flags from the Movie Country Icon add-on. The flags in flags/language are a higher resolution than the rectangular flags that I've used for audio and subtitle flags in MQ 7 and MQ 8.

I can look at adding a TV icon to mediatype.

I switched the ascending and descending sort labels. Thanks for letting me know!
