OS X Sound not playing while FAST FORWARDING the video
#1
Question
Hi everyone.
I'm using Kodi on a M1 Mac.
When I play the video at 2x speed, it plays well but without sound.
On other external players, there isn't this problem.

Any fix?

Fast forward and tempo (with sound) are different.    Are you meaning tempo?  Does you skin support tempo playback?

Thanks for the answer. I don't know exactly what tempo means here 😄
But with every skin I tested, it didn't work and I also didn't found any option about this feature in the main settings. (My current skin is AeonTajo)

I might said it wrong. I simply mean playing the video with for example 2x, but the sound don't get muted.

Then there's nothing wrong.

I think lordvandad actually said it wrong the second time Wink
He is using ffwd where there's no sound. Using tempo function should do what is expected (sped up vid with sound).

Tempo will only work with passthrough disabled though and only goes up to x1.5.

Thanks for all the answers. 🙏
I still don't know what settings sould I check.
Enabling or disabling pass through? How to use Tempo?!
Is there any specific option that I should turn on or off in the settings?

Again, I'm using kodi on my M1 Mac. The app version is Kodi v21 (Omega). (All previous ones also didn't work)
Maybe the problem is on Macs. I didn't check on windows. 🧐

I always can use another player for this reason, but I love Kodi and really like to use it for most of cases. ☺️

It's ALT+Left arrow and ALT+Right arrow on Windows.

Note: You can increase this using the following advancedsetting.xml.

xml:
<video>
<maxtempo>2.1</maxtempo>
</video>

I found some people who said "disabling omxplayer" fixed the issue.
But didn't find anywhere that says how to disable it. (Searched a lot)
And there is no such option in the settings...

At least I think I should give up on this feature on my M1 Mac and use an external player if I want to play at 2x. 😬🤷‍♂️
