Help needed with audio
#1
So, I just installed LibreElec on a new pc and everything went fine. The video plays fine (on the files I've tried to play so far) but the audio sounds very fast for half a sec, then cuts out for a sec or two, then plays fast again, cuts out, etc.

This is a brand new build (except for the GPU). Any ideas on what's going on and how to fix it? I should mention that everything plays fine on my Nvidia Shield TV Pro using Kodi. I've included the checklist below, but if further info is needed, please let me know.

Thanks!

I tried posting the whole thing as one post, but I get an error saying I'm blocked. I think the software is thinking I'm posting something illegal or something. I'm trying to figure out what in the checklist is causing the error.

That's not a kodi Debug Log :-) but thanks for trying.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Please, do it with the following steps:

a) Turn on debug logging
b) Play a file that produces the issue
c) Post the Debug Log

in your old log I could not see something playing.

Ok, Thanks for your patience. That's what I've been doing. I've uploaded a new pastebin here: https://pastebin.com/VNvxJr7n

On line 1900, You can see: 2023-12-10 20:00:04.346 T:1301     info <general>: VideoPlayer::OpenFile: nfs://192.168.60.135/mnt/media/movies/Star.Wars.A.New.Hope.1977.mkv

That would be the file starting to play right?

Please try the X11 version of LibreELEC. Additionally I see some logging that is not present in the normal kodi version concernig "keep audio alive" which btw. keeps the same "second" all the time.

Please report that bug with LE, it needs fixing in the GBM version. While x11 has stopped it's development some years ago, it is still the most stable implementation.

But this GBM bug needs fixing.
