Thanks for your quick response. Of course I use the synology to store all
my files. On the other hand u can also install other apps (like nextcloud etc.)
Now I search for a media server and found different possibilities (Plex,Emby,Jellyfin).
My favorite is still Kodi so I want to know is it possible and how.

Kodi isn’t really designed to run like that. Plex Media Server runs very well on Synology NASs. I run my PMS on my 220+. I have family and friends that use the Plex client to access my PMS both local and remote. Works fine.
