Small stutter and motion jitter
#1
I had a Beelink GT1 Ultra for years, it died so I replaced it with an HK1 RBox S905X4 which I thought being much newer, more ram, etc would be an upgrade though Quad Core not Octa Core.

Hoping it's better than the Beelink and just a settings issue.

Mainly been noticing when the scene changes and there is motion/action that the first second looks jerky, like 10fps or something then smooths out.

Files aren't overly large, or high bitrate, everything connects with cat6. The PC, Nas, and HK1 are all 10/100/1000 Ethernet. And again, my 5yr old Beelink ran the same files without issues.

Anything I should check? Switch? Toggle?

This is more a CoreELEC question than Kodi core and it will require logs.  The S912 is often going to be more powerful than the S905x4 for raw CPU (which is not a a powerhouse), Amlogic just didn't support it long enough.

Ya, looking at comparisons I noticed that the older system seems to be pretty close in terms of ability...

Stutter thing is hard to capture. It just randomly does it so may be a while to get a log. Watched full 4K 10,000kbps HDR10 10Gb files last night 0 issues, then watched a 720p 400mb file today and when the scene changed, everybody is choppy moving for 3 seconds then clears up. Buffer?

Needed something ASAP... hoping to grab a, X96 X10 S928X in the summer. The 8GB DDR4 model. Maybe a bit better?

But ya, that S912 was good and worked fine, but CoreElec dropped updates a few years ago at CoreElect 18. That Beelink worked flawless with every file I had. Which is why this is a bit disappointing.
