Hi everybody.

When I watch a movie, I sometimes check what other movies I have in my database of a specific actor playing in that movie. To do so, I move to the information windows of the movie (by clicking "I" on the movie list), then I scroll to the cast section and click the specific actor image. I am then presented with a list of movies played by the actor.

I recently started encounter some problems with this procedure:
- I remember that in the past I was presented multiples choices for the search, like "search kodi library" or "search imdb" or similar. Now those choices are missing
- In the list I get, all movie titles are replaced by "Movie" followed by the year.

I presume that's a skin related problem, but I'm not sure.
I recently refreshed all my video library and scraped it with Universal Movie Scraper (information from IMDb in the settings). I knows that IMDb caused problems in the past but it seems that all the information about the movies are scraped correctly.

Do you guys have suggestions?

Hello,

I have the same exact issue. In Kodi 20, at least I would have a menu to see actor info either in my collection or in IMDB, but the other issue happened also (not movie title, just "Movie (year)". Now, after upgrading to Kodi 21, I still have the second issue and now I am only able to see which films in my collection the actor worked in, when I press in the actor's thumbnail, no more filmography/biography from IMBD option is presented.
Any clue on how to solve these issues is much appreciated.

Not sure if it will bring back everything you want, but you can get some additional information.

Go to settings/skin settings/help

The scroll right and select "install or change settings of supported addons".

Then from the list on the left choose "Recommended".  I recomend installing all the scripts that Aeon supports. 

Lastly, when in the "i" (Information screen) scroll all the way to the rifght and select the hamburger menu, and select "settings".  Turn on exstended info for movies and TV shows.

This will give more information when selecting "I" or information in different parts of the skin.

NOTE: When viewing the cast images, if you scroll down you will see other movie posters of movies they have been in. 

When clicking  on an actor, you will now have 2 options:
1) List Local Library Items
2) Online information from TMDb

Option 2 will let you scroll down past their bio that is being displayed, and see other movies the actor has been in for movies in, and not in your collection.  You can click on those posters to see the full information and images of any of the movies.  Scrolling further down, more images of the actor if available.

Hello,

I have found out why the list of films (in your library) in which an actor/actress has played a role sometimes only shows ‘movie (year)’. This is the case for films where only the ‘Original title’ metadata has been filled in, but not the ‘Title’ metadata. Hope this helps people to fix this (annoying for me) issue.
