Apologies for double posting but I would rather mention and save time if it at all helps. The display I am using is a TCL panel via HDMI, freesync compatible and enabled. Are there any AMD driver settings which anyone may be aware of that could impact on Kodi such as this? Or known issues with the 6700 XT GPU in particular?
Thanks again all

Again this is really the wrong sub-forum for questions like that, hopefully a moderator can move it back to where it belongs where the right developers and users might see it.
I'd save all those dumps for GitHub if you don't hear on the good sub-forum.

It's most likely the deinterlacing bug with AMD RDNA gpu and above. Comes from a change made by AMD in the drivers and impacts the render method DXVA for interlaced streams.
You can find in the forum a thread or two about that subject, with references to older driver versions that don't crash for the same streams.
I'm looking for a fix when I get a chance but it's slow going. I found something but it breaks the other gpus so not ready for review or merge.
Other ways to work around the problem would be to disable deinterlacing (looks pretty bad though...) or to deinterlace as part of the transcoding if that's an option.
