Thanks, all seems to be working fine except for Music. Fanart are not rotating there.
Can you explain how you were able to get extra fanart working? Or even any local fanart detection? I've tried every possible naming scheme for both movies and tv shows and this just does not work as far as I can tell.

I assume your extra fanart is already scanned into your library. Do you have these settings enabled...

Yeah that part I know about. I've refreshed movies and TV shows and can't figure out how to get any fanart or extra fanart to show up other than what was automatically selected from the associated scraper or what I manually select from the info >> artwork menus. I've tried every possible combination of naming conventions I can think of and literally nothing works. How are you doing it?

Extra fanart is local artwork. I assume this is why it is not working for you. You are relying on the scraper to provide multiple fanarts, but scrapers don't do that.
Any of the multi-image types require the extras to be local. And the artwork needs to be in the folder before the movie is scanned into the library. Otherwise, delete it and rescan it into the library with the artwork.

No, I'm perfectly aware that extra fanart is local. I've been using it for 8 or 9 years in old T!. My test again from today:

I have "Use Extra fanart" enabled for Movies and TV Shows. I deleted the movie. I rescanned. There is never any artwork rotation at all. None of those fanart[x].jpgs ever show up, only the default one the scraper picks up.

Are you sure it's still working for you today?

Which version of Transparency are you using - the repo version or the SS version?

The latest SS version from this thread. I don't think it was working in the repo version, but I haven't gone through and deleted and reworked all my stuff. I was still using the extrafanart folder until I realized that was deprecated recently.

Ok, I checked both versions, and the rotating extra-fanart is working in both versions.
If you go to the Choose Art option for a movie, can you see the multi-fanart listed?

What the hell? No I don't see that at all:

Edit: I completely deleted the ssedition's settings.xml file and started over from scratch. Re-enabled extrafanart settings, deleted the movie, manually scanned the movie in, and still no dice on the extra fanart (or even the local fanart.jpg being preferred). Only thing that might be different about my setup is that I'm on a portable install, but I don't see how that would make a difference.

It won't make a difference.

Can you give me the following:
1. Screenshot of the movie folder, so I can see the entire folder contents
2. Rescan the movie into the library and provide a Debug Log

And just for a quick test, in the Choose Art dialogue, click on "Add art type", name it fanart1 and attach a fanart image to it. Can you then see the rotating fanart?

Oh, I just remembered. I didn't realise earlier as I consider Futurama a tv show, but you are adding the tv movie as a movie.
I notice you are using the short artwork names - fanart.jpg instead of the long name - Futurama.Bender's.big.score.1080-fanart.jpg
To use short names, you need the highlighted setting enabled. Read "Local Artwork" section here... https://kodi.wiki/view/Movie_artwork

Also, I am going to split this conversation into a new thread as it is not a skin issue.

Okay, I've got it working now. I had done most of my testing originally on TV Shows, but did not realize I needed to completely remove the show and then readd it for the extra artwork to show up. Refreshing info without deleting doesn't do anything surprisingly. I don't add multiple fanarts to movies because they are rarely in their own folder, and I honestly just don't care that much. I was just using that Futurama movie because it was easy to find and was in it's own folder. I got that one to work as well once I changed the naming convention, deleted and readded. This all was pretty seamless in old T! and it just picked it up whenever you restarted Kodi, but I'm guessing something underlying changed and that ability stopped working.

Thanks for all the help.

Yea, I think you are correct.
Transparency! used the deprecated \ExtraFanart\ folder method. But that was changed to the new multi-artwork method.
