I have a new install of kodi 21.0 on fedora 40, and I'm having problems with at least 1 movie file. The movie does not show any artwork or movie details when I browse the library under "Movies", it does correctly show the title and year, with no other metadata. When I try to open it I get an error. Inside the log file I see a bunch of file open errors like:

'error <general>: Open - Error, could not open file' Followed by the file name

These errors show up for a bunch of movies, including the one I try to view. The file in question is there, has 755 permissions and file command can read it fine:

What should I check next??

BTW, I already tried the "Refresh" option on the title, it seemed to work, but didn't help.

Also on tmdb there not much data for it, no poster, no fanart etc , check here https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/612215-valerian. Scraper can't scrap data that's not there .

Also tmdb is the same https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0462054/

As for the data you might have to edit it and add it your self.

I also discovered the problem with the metadata, the year was wrong. I removed and updated the library with the correct year, now I get the artwork, but it still doesn't play.

Sorry but that doesn't, look like the full log, Looks like you only posted , where you think the error started

It was a full log after I truncated the file first, reproduced the error and then posted.

Anyway, I just deleted the file and will try ripping it again. Although I know I have replayed that file in the past W/O error, I guess it might have gotten corrupted.

It is not a full log. And you have not enabled debug mode, which makes what you posted useless.
