Note:
This is an initial release, although I've tested it on multiple platforms there is still the possibility that it might not work on your system. If you want to report issues, make sure to enable "debug" in addon settings and post the full error message from KODIs logfile. Thanks!

Nice. I like it.
Thanks for doing this.

BTW Since you do not plan to maintain the estuary mods. Could you just out the changes in the first post so that we can reapply them ourselves. Just the changes, not the files

Cheers

It's not a mod, it's just a quick and dirty hack to show the additional weather values and features for testing & debugging. I will work on a proper implementation for estuary in the next weeks and if there are no other problems with the addon I'm going to release it with v1.0 (stable)

Bkury,

Thank you for this.

It's working quite well, but I've got a slight issue.
I've changed the settings to use USA readings instead of metric in the add-on.

When starting Kodi, all the temperature's for the current and 7 day high and Low Readings are correct. After 10 minutes or so, they revert back to Celsius.

The "Today" or current temperature is uninfected, and remains fahrenheit.

If I refresh the widget, it will revert to fahrenheit again, but will revert back to Celsius.

It is very possible that I'm missing a setting somewhere that is messing with theAdd-on.

I'm currently running the Artic horizon skin.

Thanks again,
Ron

Did you change the temperature / speed unit directly in the addon settings? If so, please change it back to "Application" and use KODIs regional settings to change the unit / region.
Interface --> Regional --> Region / Temperature / Speed Unit (Expert)

(Changing temperature/speed unit in addon settings only works for skins that fully support the addon)

Yes. I did change in the add-on.

Changed it back to default in the add-on, which set it back to application.
It is still doing this.

I tried a reinstall, in case something went wrong, and it's still doing this.

It may be that the skin in not compatible in some way.

Since it's easy to just refresh for the weekly numbers, and the current temperature works in both the add-on and the header. It's all good.

Thanks for the quick reply, and the help.

I think I found the issue, thanks for reporting!

Will be fixed in the next version ...

Hello,
Thanks for your addon.
However I noticed that the daily forecasts do not start the current day but the next day.
I also noticed that even if another weather addon is selected it is your addon that is active.
I created a French translation file strings.po of the addon.

Yes, it's one of the many Estuary/KODI weather inconsistencies and should actually be fixed there. I'll think about a workaround but I'd rather see this fixed in the skin.
I'll release an updated version of Estuary soon which will fix these kind of stuff and fully support all features of this addon.

Confirmed, I will add a check for that.

Great, thanks!

Which skin? It's probably using some older window properties which I haven't added yet.

General Update:
An addon update which fixes most of the reported issues and the Estuary mod will be available tomorrow

Thanks, that's a weird bug.
I've installed the skin and tested it on windows, linux and android 12, everything (including the date) seems to be working fine on my setups. I've also changed the language to Finnish and modified the regional settings to match yours but it's still working without  any issues.

Seems like I can't replicate this bug, can you give me more details about your setup? (OS, KODI version, maybe other "non-standard" kodi modifications)
Also, you could try to enable "Debug" in addon settings and then check your KODI logfile for "[weather.openmeteo]: [E]" (error) entries.

edit:
After some more digging it seems like that your setup might have an older (or slightly different) version of python3 which doesn't support non-zero padded strftime values like %-d or %-m.

Please try to change your KODI regional settings to a different shortdate format (Advanced/Expert KODI settings)
  • Settings --> Interface --> Regional --> Short date format --> Change it to something like DD.MM.YYYY or DD-MM-YYYY
  • Restart KODI
