I've watched 4k, but did not see it so overwhelmingly impressive that I needed to rush out and buy 4k disks - I have bought some when they are 4k+bluray release and are close to bluray prices, but I don't have optical disks to play or rip them so stick with bluray. Strangely the two times I went to a computer store to purchase a 4k optical drive, both times I was told they are not available
