Really need some help if possible. I have had the same problem with every single version of kodi since matrix, 18.9 is the last version to not do this bug.

To sum it up, i start kodi and everything's fine. I play a video and everything's fine FOR ABOUT 20 TO 40 MINS into the movie and then out of no where the video freezes and the last second of audio that got to play before the freeze starts to glitch in a non stop repetitive loop of annoying audio that wont stop until i open task manager and force quit kodi. I am at a loss honestly, i have no idea what could be causing this, i have like two non official add ons installed, one is artwork beef and the other Advanced Emulator Launcher. I have tried to use kodi without either of them installed and result is the same, so it cannot be my two non official add ons.

You haven't enabled debug mode in system>settings>logging, so not enough info and I can't see you playing anything. Try again?
Though I am pretty sure it is an audio driver problem from the little I can see.

Also, did you upgrade from a previous install, or install fresh? I think you upgraded and it has carried over some bad settings and broken addons which accounts for most of the errors in the log.
You should consider starting fresh, especially with the big jump from v18 to v21.

Well i uninstalled kodi and then deleted the app data folder and so did start fresh as far as im aware. Plus i have tried this on a brand new install of windows after i acidentally wiped my main c:drive. It just is odd to me 18.9 doesnt do it but every other iteration of kodi causes it, so how could it be an audio driver? wouldnt 18.9 and anything prior also cause this if it were related to an audio driver on my pc? i will indeed enable debug mode and update a new log file, my apologies i thought i had it enabled already. my next post will contain the file, thanks for the help in advance

Have you enabled all the component specific logging as well?

About 3 of the components are enabled, i dont remember doing that but may have lol. i will run kodi again and wait for the crash again since this happens like clock work every single time lol.. ill post that asap. thanks for your time and my apologies for the crazy log

I can't scroll through that trying to follow threads for a problem. Disable all the component logging and try again.
I see you playing Caddo.Lake.2024 and it looks ok, but then it is too intense trying to track it through 300,000 lines.
Doing a search for error doesn't show any related problems, just minor issues with your upnp server. Are you playing via SMB or upnp?
Have you enabled or disabled audio passthrough?
Switch to WASAPI audio in Kodi and see if the problem persists.

i am not playing through the protocols you mentioned, just playing directly from local stored media through the player. i have tried both passthrough enabled and disabled, same result. And i think i have tried wasapi before but i will try again just to verify

If you don't capture that in the log, then it won't show any problems.

Whats even stranger is, if i keep kodi open for like a long time (ike a half hour sort of long time), eventually the glitch will subside and the video will start playing again. but if i try and stop the video myself the interface will become non responsive and ill have to force quit as normal. its so weird, idk what kind of changes happened after 18.9 but it clearly doesnt play well with my system or possibly due to some sort of software i have installed on my pc.. idk just guesses on my part

That is only 13 seconds.

Make sure your next try is with WASAPI

That makes no sense to me tbh bc the movie played much longer than 13 seconds for me. you might be looking at a movie i started and then quit immediately to play another one, i put on a movie called see no evil or something like that, i played caddo lake for a short time bc didnt want to listen to it again lol. it usually plays a movie anywhere from like 20 to 40 minutes. i can never finish a single movie though.

Ok, further down the log I see Speak.No.Evil.2024

I still think it is an audio problem as this is the error I found...

and immediately after that is when you start fiddling with your controller pressing button 1, which I guess is stop.

Try again using WASAPI and disable Passthrough.
Also disable script.skinvariables in addons. I don't know why it is endlessly running.
