In my old setup (Kodi on rPi, LibreElec), I could use the numpad on my remote to jump to a specific letter in my movie list ('alphabet jump').

However, on my new setup (Kodi on Google streamer), this no longer works. I have read some solutions, but these require an alternative skin and/or altering the current skin. However, I don't want to use a different skin, and I don't know it editing the current files is possible at all. Also, it seems to be impossible to bind (for example) 'next letter' to the Google remote. It has too few buttons anayway...

So, would it be possible to implement this feature by default in the default Kodi skin? I would imaging that pressing 'right' would activate scrolling per page (as it does now), and pressing 'right' again would activate an 'alphabet scrollbar'.

Probably not.  It's not as simple as just changing the font size, you also have to redo a fair number of text boxes and alignments to get everything to look right again.  The font sizes are just one part of the puzzle.  So a simple select box to increase the font size isn't really practical.

It would be helpful (particularly for certain videos such as sports, international variants, etc) if there was an additional video info box at the bottom of the screen (like the ones showing resolution, codecs, etc) for FPS/framerate.

Is it possible to modify the Favourites section into editable sub-categories in Estuary?  I'm assuming not, in which case might it be a possible addition in a future update?  I've tried Super Favourites and AutoWidget, but both are too unstable and there don't seem to be any other options available.

I'm trying to create favourites sections (and sub-sections) for add-ons, which I don't believe are supported by tags and smart playlists.  Am I mistaken?  To clarify further, it's particularly widget and thumbnail appearance I'm after, so I can make things as clear and simple as possible for my parents.

You should be able to touch the progress bar to wherever you want to skip to.

Maybe I am misunderstanding, but left and right swipes trigger the skip steps in touch mode - so e.g. two quick swipes to the right will jump forward 30 seconds with the default steps (IIRC).

(It's very hard tp do small jumps with the progress bar accurately in my experience...)

Doing small steps (10s to 1m) on a Tablet is almost not possible. Didn't know about swiping, but it also doesn't work reliable on my tablet.

I'm using it with iptvsimple-client and dash streams, where I can go backward 2 or 3 hours. Controlling back and forth with Yatse or Kodi-official-remote works as intended.
Does swipe in Kodi has some issues together with iptvsimple? Swiping works like charm in Android
