Mod Aeon MQ 9 Mod for Kodi 21 (Omega)
I'm having random and frustrating crashes in Kodi while using this version of the skin. Currently on 1.3.9 but has happened on all versions I've used. I'm not the best at understanding what exactly is going on in these crash logs so I'm posting mine here hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction

Hi all,

Can someone please help me out here.
Here is my movie naming structure for HDR movies - Finding Nemo (2003) (4K UHD 2160p HEVC 10bit HDR Dolby TrueHD Atmos 7.1)
Everything displays fine in the flags section at the bottom except it show 8bit & SDR
Where am I going wrong?

Here is my movie naming structure for Dolby Vision movies - Finding Nemo (2003) (4K UHD 2160p HEVC 10bit DV Dolby TrueHD Atmos 7.1)
Same problem as above, Dolby Vision logo not showing, only SDR

Also, how should I name movies that is Web-DL?

@latts
I also noticed that in the top menu under Organize I wanted to change three things but nothing happened.
Audio and Subtitle Flags changed to Text
Language Flags Style changed to round
Country Flags changed to text

Can you maybe have a look at that.

Thanks

@JanM201 You do not specify what platform you are on. I use Linux Debian based NAS so I would name this file as follow: Finding.Nemo.2003.HDR.10bit.4K.Atmos.mkv (I presume it is mkv file). If this movie is in it`s own directory then name this directory like this: Finding.Nemo.2003.
Note:
1. I would and I do, in general, avoid spaces in file name as well as parenthesis. I replace spaces with . (period character) that works great with Windows, Andriod and Linux.
2. Dolby Vision might not be encoded in file.
3. 4K, UHD and 2160p is redundant. Just use 4K.

Hope this help.

Those three settings under Organize only affect the MQ 8 Video Info screen. I've added code to hide them if you are using the default Video Info.

@defleppard73
Howdy...yeah, I thought that problem was fixed. If you open MainMenu.xml, do you see "Skin.String(mainmenu_style,horizontal)" for line 4? Also, check your settings.xml file and make sure your "mainmenu_style" setting is set to horizontal.

Thanks very much Laugh

Can you please just clarify what I'm doing wrong with naming my files.
The correct flags for the things I mentioned just won't show.

Read this post. That should restore your horizontal menu bar.

Hello,
Many thanks for the help and the trick, but it doesn't work.
I still dont' have the horizontal main menu.
I can't get it back on screen.

Is there another way ?

Which scraper do you use with "Movies"? Do you use the new info screen or MQ8?

You're welcome! Here's how I would name your examples...
Finding Nemo (2003).bluray.4kuhd.hdr.10bit.atmos and Finding Nemo (2003).bluray.4kuhd.dv.atmos

@OliveT21
Can you PM me a copy of your settings.xml file?

@melons2
I use "THE MOVIE DATABASE PYTHON" scraper for Movies and the MQ8 Video Info screen.

@latts9923Would "blueray" and "4k" be contradictory? Is it not "4K" by definition "uhd"?. Also, if Kodi database is in MariaDB on Linux platform would a file name with spaces in it that in Linux is represented as 'Finding Nemo (2003).bluray.4kuhd.hdr.10bit.atmos' be a valid name?. I am 100% Linux and BSD (no Windows), so can I use spaces in file names?. To be honest I never tried that, I always put "." (period) instead space. Just curios.

Hi @latts9923
Thanks very much. My flags shows up perfectly now Rofl
I'm using the KodiFlix view. In the top menu under "View Type", there's an option "Show Clearart/Clearlogo as title.
When you have Clearart for a movie, it will display that as the title. If you don't have it, it will display the Clearlogo.
Can you please make it that we can choose which one we want to use as the title. I prefer the Clearlogo.

Thanks very much.

You're correct. Adding ".4k" after ".bluray" just cancels out the bluray mediatype. Also, I entered the wrong extension for the 4K UHD flag...it's not ".4kuhd", it's just ".uhd".

@JanM201
You're welcome...glad your flags are displaying!

By default, the skin will display clearart for the title. You can switch that to clearlogo under SKIN SETTINGS ► CONTEXTUAL ART.

@latts9923 I just noticed that in VIEW-28 (I was using VIEW-33 for TV shows and Movies) shows and movie posters are interfering with bottom bar LOGO`s. Also there is missing word "rating", only it`s value is shown.

There is an another thing I would like to ask. In TV Shows there is "TV Show Status" near bottom left corner in VIEW TYPE-28 that does not show any info, for whatever reason. In Movies it display "Duration" value. In file View28-597_29-601_Wall3D.xml line #306 and #318 I changed value "value_ground16_label" and "value_ground16_value" to "value_ground12_label" and "value_ground12_value" to change info to "Genre" of TV Show and Movie. I also added line "<value condition="!String.StartsWith(ListItem.Path,videodb://movies/sets)">]$LOCALIZE[515]</value>" right below line #2881 "value_ground12_label" in Variables.xml to display "Genre" word in color.
This mod change both TV Shows and Movies to display "Genre" value. Could this be implemented?. Please give your comment.
