Can't change skip steps on Kodi iOS remote
#1
Hello, I'm trying to set the right/left and top/down arrows on the Remote Control screen on the Kodi Remote app to skip video forward/back by 10 seconds (for the right/left arrows) and forward/back by 30 seconds (for the top/down arrows).

Running the latest version of the official Kodi Remote for iOS, and Kodi 21.1 for macOS Sequoia 15.1

I've been trying suggestions in the Kodi Wiki e.g. creating and advancedsettings.xml file, and changing the 'skip steps' in Settings -> Player -> Videos to just -10 seconds, 10 seconds, -30 seconds, 30 seconds but I can't seem to change the behavior (right/left arrows on the iOS remote always skips 30 seconds; up/down arrows always skip 10 minutes).

I've spend a couple hours trying to figure this out, looking on these forums and the wiki, and keep coming up short. Any assistance would be very much appreciated!

Do you use the 1.15 Release from AppStore or the TestFlight Beta Software (see https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=359717)? The TestFlight build has a change (https://github.com/xbmc/Official-Kodi-Re.../pull/1092) which changed the behaviour of the up/down/left/right buttons of the iOS Remote. This might be what you are searching for.

Thanks, I use the 1.15 App Store release, not the Test Flight build.

Would be great, if you can give the TF build a try. This works well, has many other improvements and we are aiming to release this, with a few more changes, in a few weeks.
