Had a bit of a hiccup with Kodi on Shield due to switching device storage and lost thankfully not my library (mariadb) but my settings. My kodi setup is not extensive so manual restore isnt too bad but one thing has gone funny and I dont know why.

During audio playback it no longer automatically goes to 'Now Playing'. I go into an album, tracklist, hit OK on a track and it plays the tracks from there alright but the screen just hangs there with the tracklist open forever. I can see artist art & visualisation in the background but it should really go to fullscreen/Now Playing w artist art and visualisation but it doesnt.

I can get there manually through context menu 'Fullscreen' or by hitting 'back' multiple times but it used to do this automatically.
And wiki says it should do too after a short timeout, but it doesnt and I have no idea where that timeout is in the settings either.

Any help please?

You need to set your settings level to "advanced" or "expert", then in settings/Media/Music under "General" there is toggle to "switch to visualisation on playback"

(I think that's what you want, not the "now playing" playlist window)
