I'm also having this issue:
"error detected IPTVSimple Client is out of sync with kodi. Try clearing kodi's PVR & Live tv guide data"

Have done a fresh install 3 times now, and i seem to get it all working happily. Then i walk away for 30mins, then try to watch something and i get that error... i have to clear the guide data to make it work again.

This issue usually means the EPG Guide is not in sync with the EPG database... Go to Kodi's PVR & LiveTV settings and select clear guidedata.

You can, for the most part... avoid this issue by allowing PseudoTV permission to refresh guidedata when needed.

I've been distracted with stuff so I really haven't kept up on things in a while.  Has the resource.images.overlays.crttv been enabled yet?  Asking because these would probably go great for some of the older 4:3 shows my Dad watches.

Thanks for all you do.

Yes, it is available in advanced channel rules...

i have been noticing a strange issue lately where only the PTVL settings menu looks garbled, due to this i cannot enable debug logging for PTVL but here are the logs that look to have a relevant error:

https://paste.kodi.tv/tugulowuna

was trying to troubleshoot an issue where the auto tuned channels got reset again but got stuck due to this, since then auto tune has added other channels as it lost them and the recover screen did not see the back up file for some reason and of course i cant attempt to restore as i cant access settings lol

I'm not sure the root cause for the settings issue... However, it is a sign the settings.xml file was corrupted. The only solution i'm aware of is to delete the settings.xml file under addon_data/plugin.video.pseudotv.live, then reconfigure.

Hey in my pseudotv, the epg guide has the programs extra long with only 1 program and it goes on infinite, when I go to the channel it calls out an error duration error between player (128400.0) and pvr (1551).

Hopefully these logs have errors if not please let me know,

Did A Complete new build today, just to see if there were some problems seeping through.
Created one channel as a test and could not change the channel logo. PTVL seems to be searching for a Folder, and not an Icon or PNG file.

Hi, wondering if you can assist me.

When setup IPTV on a spare tv and create a profile pointing to the central shared folder created from my pseudoTV server, M3U/guide.xml/genres files, they all show up in my channel list but when i click on the channels none of them play.
Do you know why?

They only play if i install the pseudotv addon on all kodi instances.

Image

Reason i want to do this is because every time i load kodi on a client that is running pseudotv addon, a progress dialog opens up and it's PseudoTV generating Genre/library info and then it pops up and shows this message, and i have to always select "Multi-room"
and then the dialog disappears. But when i quit kodi and re-open it, the same dialog pops up. i don't understand why it beaves this way, if i have pseudotv addon installed on kodi and i've already selected to use multi-room, and then selected my channel list as my servers instance. Why does PseudoTV try to build all the genre and library lists and look for local channels every single time the app loads, and then prompt me that no channels are found and to keep selecting multi-room?

Image

**EDIT**
so behaves properly if i point the "centralized file location" to my shared folder. but, shouldn't this all be automated?
As in, if when i first install pseudoTV on a client, it should go through the setup and ask me if i want to use "multi-room", then i select YES, and click on my server. after that, shouldn't it import all the relevant settings from that, including the central file location? otherwise I get behavior same as I've stated above where it constantly prompts you on startup to autotune channels or select multi-room.

You're mixing two methods of multi-room as described here. https://github.com/PseudoTV/PseudoTV_Liv...multi-room
I'll push an update to keep autotuning from displaying when using a centralized file location.

Awesome. Thanks for that.

Just a couple of observations. Yesterday I did a full reinstall on my server and set up of pseudo tv.

I selected "no" to auto-tune and multi-room when first prompted with the "no channels found" dialog. Then I went into the psuedotv settings and setup a centralized database, then manually created 7 channels with smart playlists. Pseudotv then did it's thing and built the channels and refreshed iptv setting. The channels showed up in pvr and everything working as expected.

Then, I left my rpi running overnight and didn't touch it after that. When I woke up this morning, there were 22 extra channels in my pvr list. I checked pseudotv and found that it had AutoTuned a bunch of channels randomly over night.

So I selected "clear all auto tuned channels" in the settings but this did not fix it, all the channels remained. I had to delete the xml and playlist and simplecache and then reboot and wait for pseudotv to rebuild everything.

All was working fine again. I left my pi running and went to work.
I come home from work, there are no extra channels which is good, but when I select a channel to play it prompts with an error about guide data being out of sync, so I had to delete epg data from kodi and it's working again.

I set up guide refresh in kodi to 15mins, but this doesn't seem to have much of an affect as I experience this guide sync issue frequently after letting kodi sit for a while. so not sure how to overcome this.

Deleting XMLTV and M3U still doesn't work
Clean Start Still doesn't work.
After deleting the channels and or everything, there is still something telling PTVL there is channels there and it will not rebuild channels.
If you end up with a blank channel or 3 they will stay blank forever it seems.
As this has not worked for sometime the only remedy is still to Re-Install 0.5.1g, clean everything, ignore the iptv message, exit, restart kodi, wait for the restore from backup message, restore. wait for PTVL to rebuild the channels, then reinstall the latest version, exit and restart kodi, and if you're lucky everything is rebuilt and working.
So "please" can you have a look at the clean start feature. Thank You.

I'd really like to see a log if I can... THX

I double checked the code and its unlikely pseudo self autotuned. Autotuning has several checks; its last being consent to apply autotuning, which defaults to "No: if no choice is made.

What may have happened... autotuning supports a "Recovery" method when there are no autotuned channels, yet the library contains enabled autotune items. The channels previously enabled will self recover.

I'll dive deeper, but a log will help me narrow down where issues may have occurred.

Me: Hmmmm....

Obviously from the above post there is something wrong with Channels and building them etc. Hopefully now someone else has a problem, you may look into it.

Channels did not rebuild after a channel manager change.

Clear Channels and Clean Start still not working, and haven't since 0.5.1g

Still empty channels that won't repopulate until the channel guide is cleaned. Via pre mention method.

Sigh.....

Thanks for the Updates, This is the most stable version yet.

However The Odd Channel still Disappears on a restart of the system the next day, However PTVL seems to be picking up the missing channel and rebuilding it a bit later on.

As an interesting side note, I noticed last night while watching a STRM through Kodi and not using Pseudo  that the PTVL Background and Logo where showing up between YouTube Videos. Very Strange, but better than Kodi regardless.

Brilliant Work!
