Remove yellow from zoom preview
#1
I understand that we cannot remove the zoom preview when we zoom on a picture, but can remove the yellow square? Some other threads on this issue seem not to have it https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...light=zoomhttps://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...light=zoom

On my end it looks like this:

I don't get it either; maybe it's a graphics card issue?

Interesting. I have it on both my PC and Fire TV setups, but I was asking because I remember not having it there on the Fire TV at some point. As of now I can confirm it happens independent of skin, so it must be some setting somewhere that I copied from my main config to the Fire TV.

I have the yellow rectangle on Linux as well, both with GL and GLES. It's also not a settings thing, happens after wiping the whole data folder as well.

Tested on Windows with Nvidia RTX 4060.

Mmm, I don't have a Windows machine nearby right now. My "PC" is actually an iMac. I will try to test a fresh Windows install somewhere.

I've tested a fresh install on a Windows notebook and it's not there. I use the OneDrive plugin, but I tried on my mac with local files just in case, still yellow. Sounds like a bug to me since it's obviously not meant to work this way. What do you think @Neo1973

If it is not working on Windows, it is a bug. There should be a yellow box in the zoom preview: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/blob/b0bd4a...e.cpp#L774

I see. I think most would agree it actually looks better without it, since it displays the zoomed information without taking away your attention. Having the yellow feels more like an accessibility feature IMO. One more thing, what lines may I remove to disable the zoom preview altogether? I'm would like to try my hand at compiling a build without it, would be ideal for my Android setup

This is what I see on Windows:

That's much better than a big yellow box covering the zoomed portion IMO.
