Mod Aeon MQ 8 Mod for Kodi 21 (Omega)
I can tell you why you had problems with your installation.

Let's start with the skin installation.
There was a problem with "script.skin.helper.colorpicker" not being able to be installed automatically.
The reason is the wrong name of the file folder in the zip file.
The folder must be called "script.skin.helper.colorpicker" and not "script.skin.helper.colorpicker-master".
Latts has to fix this.

The other problem when you tried to install the "Skin Helper Service" manually was that you tried to install the addons in the wrong order.
The correct order is in the installation instructions for this skin.

This type of installation is very complicated and not necessary if you have installed "repository.lattsrepo" and want to install the "Skin Helper Service".

The easy way is, go to:
- Install from repo
- choose latts repo
- choose context menus
- then select "Skin Helper Service" and install

You're right, that explains why I didn't have this issue before. Do you also know why the Embuary Helper error occurs? As you can see, the Kodi repo is installed.

Since you haven't provided a Kodi log file for this Embuary Helper error, I can only guess.
I suspect it's because "Embuary Helper" wasn't installed when the skin was installed.
My recommendation would be that Latts includes "Embuary Helper" in the "addon.xml" of the skin.
This means that "Embuary Helper" is already installed before the skin is active.

Doh...good catch. The repo has been updated with a new version of the zip file.

@Kupo91
Hang tight bud...I'm working on a new version of the skin that will require these add-ons during installation.

This is probably because the old faulty "script.skin.helper.colorpicker-2.0.3.zip" is still stored in Kodi.
Check the folder "\addons\packages\".
If "script.skin.helper.colorpicker-2.0.3.zip" is still there, delete the file and restart Kodi.
Then check whether the installation works smoothly.

No, there is no colorpicker file in this folder. I made a backup before my first attempt installing this skin and I use this backup for each new install.

Kodi is still crashing with this skin. I installed Kodi 21.2 and removed the Kodi folder from AppData before. So everything was fresh and the only addons that I installed is the Aeon skin and the addons it came with.

(I also tested it with a second PC btw, same issue)

Is there a plan for MQ8 on Kodi 22? MQ9 doesnt install for me ,the annoying endless loop (yes its still there, not fixed)

Yes, I plan on releasing MQ 8 for Kodi 22. I just reproduced the endless loop on v22. This is something new with v22. I'll have to figure out what the problem is, because this will also be a problem with MQ 8.

Thank you! I managed to install MQ9 after many many tries - the only way to do it was to use "S" System menu/reload skin after a minute or so.
Surprisingly MQ9 on v22 is much smoother than on v21 ,working very well ! thanks again for your great work !
I'm still interested in MQ8 cause the most useful add-on for me TV SHOW - NEXT AIR works perfectly on 8 ,maybe @Fuchs2468 can provide some secret tips to make it work Cool
