How to have movies with Extras "starred/asterixed" in the Movies/Titles Library List?
#1
Sorry guys, in past builds, after adding "Extras Add-On" I've been able to see all movies with Extras listed in the Movie Library,
with a "star within a circle" bullet-points rather than the default "square" bullets-points.
(I can still access them via context menu, but it's nice to see in library list which movies actually have extras.)
[example attached]
In my new Kodi rebuild this way of identifying movies with extras in the movie list hasn't happened.
Should it happen after a library clean & refresh? What have I forgotten to do?
many thanks, piece.

That is not due to the Extras Add-on. That is due to the new Video Extras feature... https://kodi.wiki/view/Video_extras
and Video Versions... https://kodi.wiki/view/Video_versions
You don't need the Extras addon for movies anymore, but you still need it for TV Shows.

So, the missing icon is due to the setting "Ignore video extras on scan" which should be disabled so Kodi can scan them.

Thanks so much for prompt reply Karellen.
Disabling "Ignore video" does now allow the icon change to occur in my movie library list.
how did I miss this?  :^/    ...... FIXED.

However, the icon change is only occurring after I have added the extras contents manually via the Information Screen for each movie.
Is there a way to auto-populate this icon change for all my movies that have extras, rather than adding extras manually for each movieHuh
(Or do I have a false memory that this happened in previous builds?)

Thanks again for your assistance & politely pointing out my set-up problem.

It only works when you scan the library and add the movie to the library.
Try deleting it and re-adding it might work. Refresh won't work, nor Scan item to library. It has to use the Update Library function

It is new for v21, which is probably why you missed the setting.

Thanks for making this feature core. I never successfully got the plug-in to work.

One thing that I'd love to see is an ability to add directory names for extras, not just "Extras". Ideally the default would align with the Plex naming scheme documented here:

https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-...dia-files/
https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-...how-files/

Presumably people with large collections are not going to modify their libraries to move all extras under an "Extras" folder when they already exist under an array of others.

If one were to dive into the code to try and add this support, where would one start? And does it need a tracking issue or would submitting a PR be sufficient?

And then there's people who will want to use the Jellyfin naming scheme and probably others will want Mezzmo.

We haven't decided what we're going to use.

Do the development teams ever talk to each other? Agreeing on a common approach to naming feels like it'd be a big win for everyone's users. Realistically weighting it by installed base and tool support (what do the *rr's do) could be helpful to.
