🤣…honestly, yes it is as clear as mud. I’ll restore the MusicVisualization.xml to the current version and play with that setting and hopefully can get it to be like it was before and post an update. Thanks.

Switching Contextual Art, Art-Music to Prefer Clearlogo was the fix! Honestly I would have never found that…you da man! Thanks.

LOL...yeah, after I typed all that I was thinking, "Oh yeah, that's not confusing at all." Haha. I added that info to the link in the first post that lists a great deal of the skin mods.

i use mq9 mod on android with kodi 21 and have the following question:
when i make an update via the repo, the set widgets are no longer displayed, even if the widgets are set again, they are still not applied.
Only when I reinstall mq9 and set everything up again are the widgets displayed again.
What can I do about this?

LOL. The new clearart/clearlogo/artist text code for music viz is now universal for all layouts. If you have "PREFER: CLEARART" selected for "ART - MUSIC" in SKIN SETTINGS ► CONTEXTUAL ART, you will see the clearart image in all layouts. If clearart is missing for that Artist, it will display the clearlogo for the Artist. If "PREFER: CLEARLOGO" is selected and there are clearlogo images available for the Artist on the fanart.tv website, it will cycle through those. If only one is available on fanart.tv, it will display only that one. If there are no clearlogo images available at fanart.tv, it will display your local clearlogo for the Artist. If that is missing as well, it will display the Artist as text (except layouts 1 & 2 where the Artist's name is always displayed as text). Is that clear as mud? Haha

Hello. Sorry if something is unclear. I am writing through a translator. I would like to return to the discussion of music visualization. Layout 7 is selected. "Prefer: clearlogo" is enabled in the settings. If there is no clearlogo on the Fanart.tv website and there is no local one, then the artist's name is displayed as text. Is the text taken from tags? If from tags, then which one? Song artist or album artist? When playing a collection, on all songs that do not have clearlogo, it says various artists. Maybe it is possible to write somewhere so that the song artist is selected from tags?

What I meant was that in the absence of clearlogo, the text would display not the album artist, but the song artist.

I would be most thankful for someone to point me as to where I can download the current MQ9 skin. I had been using Waniltons version of Aug 23 which was a composite MQ9+ Kodi Omega pre- release but now getting problems with it. Just not been able to find it.

If the clearlogo is missing, it will display the song's artist from the ID3 tag.

Sorry for the dumb question but I don't see an icon to attach a screenshot. It gives me an option to insert The URL when I click the picture icon.

Click on the icon that looks like the small letter “ i “ (to the right of the smiley face) not the one that looks like a picture and it should allow you to select a picture.
