try using a user account. also, check your shares on your windows pc to see which users/accounts you have given access to.

i have a strange problem. i got to servers which serve smb. server01 and server02. server01 shares work when i changed the syntax in the xml file, but server02 doesn't. i log in with the same user account on both server which used to work perfect. and i am using w2k server on both. the setting are almost equal. maybe there are some bugs to be ironed out? thx for xbmc and thx for the hard work :d

then xbmc is able to connect to your win2k pc. most likely a problem with your accounts and or access rights for them.
make sure that user xbox has access to /hd01
another thing to try is accessing those win2k shares from another pc to see if that works

run secpol.msc on your client and go to local policies -> security options. check out your values there.
