XBMC not hidding SMB password
#1
not really a bug but something that i noticed that i think show be corrected.

when you scan smb shares to add them to the database the user credentials (username and password) are displayed in the scanning media info box. this should not be displayed (i know security is not critical for this and that the password is stored in the xml but still bugs me.)

create an basic user account that just has the most minimal of access (particularly just to that share, and not log on local rights, etc). then it's not that big of a deal.

read access is quite enough btw.
read the xbmc online-manual, faq and search the forums before posting! do not e-mail the xbmc-team asking for support!
read/follow the forum rules! note! team-xbmc never have and never will host or distribute ms-xdk binaries/executables!

thanks for the replies. i am using a generic account, was just wanting to point it out in case no one had caught that before.

it would be nice if when scanning files it would only display the current folder and filename and not the entire smb path. maybe something to look at way, way down the road when things get further along.

thanks again!
