Hi
Ive just stepped into the XBMC world, and Im trying to add a dreambox as a source to be able to play my recorded movies from that unit. The dreambox has a bulit in harddrive so i need to get the files from there.
So first of all, does it work to stream a paused program from the dreambox, that is is it supposed to work so that i can continue to watch the paused prog in my XBMC?
Second, how am i supposed to get hold of the files from the dreambox, is it by setting up a FTP source to the dreambox from the xbmc? or is there a way that is better from a performance view? I have tried the FTP version, and i got it playing stuttering once, now the only thing it does is to freeze the xbmc totally with the result of hanging the FTP server on the dreambox as well. Streaming of channels from the DB is working really good though! its just the .ts files thats a little issue.
Im now trying to run XBMC in a vista home premium install, but im thinking of getting a AppleTV or maybe if I can afford a mac mini, im a PC user but i do like the design and quietness of apples products...
Im very grateful for some feedback on this, and thanks to all that i developing XBMC an all other people supporting this forum with lots of great info!
Best to u all!
