i don't want to have to set the av delay everytime i play a video - can i set it so it is always -0.30, the amount almost all my divxs need?

no you can't. but if all your divx movies are desync by the same amount of time i would say it is a bug and need to be fixed by xbmc anyway.

hmmmmm - i think it is to do with my hauppauge wintv pvr - will just keep left/right triggering!

i have the same problem! the first to movies i tried had the exact same sync problem (-25). the third worked perfectly. guess it could have to do with which encoder for audio or video that has been used.
