if all the autolaunch options are checked counter-strike did not launch correctly the dvd starts loading but the screen goes blank and nothing happens.
i then unchecked the autolaunch xbox games option and when i inserted the cs dvd it autolaunched the music, the game launched ok after choosing the dvd in the program menu.
this release feels much more stable than the december releases, good work!!!

was the game?:
- original bought retail game.
- backup burned from real xiso(xdvdfs) image (ie. image created with an xiso tool, not just files burned directly)
- files burned directly using nero (with the udf - xbox dvd-video option ticked to burn xbox 'compatible' cd/dvd)*
- files burned directly using veritas recordnow/primodvd (with the udf128 option)*
- other (if so how?)
* i suspect you used this option as the game then would not be burned as a true xbox game, but really as a dvd-movie instead.

the game is burned directly from an iso and i've tried a couple more games with the same blank screen as a result.

can you try extracting one iso with this problem, then create an true xiso from the files and then burn it, what's the result?

i have the same problems with dvd. it wil not automatically play the dvd.
if you put the cd in the tray and close it, it will read the dvd the screen flashes one time and then returns to xbmc.
if i go to the dashboard button and press it, the dvd will start.
hope this little info helps.

the the same information from you, how exacly what this dvd-movie burned. think dvd-movies burned with nero has issues.

hmm i don't know, but it shouldn't be a issue because i don't think miramax or pixar burn there dvds with nero. :d
so yes they are original dvds.
and as i said before, if i go to the dashboard button and press it, it will start and play the dvd correctly. so it looks like the dvd autolaunch isn't starting the dashboard correctly.
