I used your files and put them in the locations you listed and xbmc still DOES NOT see the remote.

Again, irw can talk to the remote just fine.

Reprogramed my Harmony to be a imon.. I get double input on keypresses in irw... which is fine... just some tweaking there.

Suggestions?

EDIT: I did have to create a keymaps folder inside of userdata... does that mean something went wrong with my install?

like I said, I never got it to work in the userdata folder. Delete the Lircmap and keymaps you've put there and place the files in:

/usr/share/xbmc/system/Lircmap.xml

and

/usr/share/xbmc/system/keymaps/remote.xml

Directional keys are not working....

If XBMC is in screensaver mode, any key OTHER THAN THE ARROW KEYS AND ENTER on the RM100 will "wake up" XBMC... I'm getting somewhere it seems

I double checked that the codes being reported by irw are the same ones in the lircd.conf.imon-antec-veris file that you get from Kenny's part of the setup... and they all match.

I've got everything working but the directional keys... any idea?

on the logitech or the original remote? if its on the logitech use learn raw and just copy them from the original remote.

With the Logitech programed for emulate an iMon remote (giving RM200 codes according to irw), XBMC does not recognize when you press the little directional pad in the middle of the remote. Nor does it do anything if you press the "select" key, the play key, or the FF type keys.

Using the RM100 that shipped with the case (giving RM100 codes according to irw), XBMC does not recognize when you press the little directional pad in the middle of the remote. Nor does it do anything if you press the "enter" key, the play key, or the FF type keys.


However, XBMC will come out of screen saver mode if you press any other key, it wakes up.

I've been playing with it for like 10+ days at 3 hours a day.... I'm kind of just wanting someone to wave the magic wand at this point.

Also, your keymap.xml has seem to have disappeared off pastebin.

And I just noticed for the first time that there are several missing obc statements from your Lircmap.xml

Also, nothing on the XBMC site makes any reference to remote.xml... everything talks about Keymap.xml... what is different about your set up?

If you do respond, please be as verbose as possible.

Messing around with this... I was able to get the power off key to shut down the case... and the "go" key worked sort of like a back button.

But then I lost video after a reboot... didn't know what happened, and blew it away again.

Turns out if you don't have /usr/share/xbmc/system/Keymap.xml you don't get video after launching XBMC

So now I'm back to where I started... and am so tired, I forgot what I did to get that extra but further.

You need to have more patience before reposting.

the keymap was split into multiple keymaps, remote references, obviously, a remote control. this is standard for xbmc.

There are not missing "obc statements", rather the obc numbers are not without gaps. I did that when i was playing around with the numbers. Change the obc number of a command that isn't working in Lircmap.xml, then make it match in the remote.xml.
