is your network reachable? yes
are you using a port-forward? yes (30000)
is your console being detected? detected when launching xbmc or avalaunch
brief description of your network setup (include model numbers): internet modem -> linksys befw11s4 -> 10/100 hub with pc and xbox (everything is wired correctly . . . trust . . . )
do you use a software firewall? what brand? have you made any changes to it? none
operating system? windows xp pro sp2 (windows firewall disabled)
problem description?
first off this xbox is modded.
i can see everything in the pc ui . . . all of the arenas, users in the arenas, etc. starting either avalaunch or xbmc gets the xbox detected with the kai xlink pc gui. launching a game from either interface gets me nothing . . . i believe this is unsupported anyway . . . that is, playing f drive games without using the xbmc kaiui.
trying to connect to the kai engine with xbmc ui never gets connected. i see the arp sent out from the xbox and the pc responding with the appropriate response arp . . . but then thats it . . . it just sits and loops in the looking for engine phase.
in order to launch games with kai without using xbmc you need the retail game disc?
in order to launch games with xbmc you need a good connect with the xbmc kai ui client? which i cant get to connect!!!! this is my source of contention.

brief excerpt from my xbmc log
11-01-2005 00:53:44 notice kaiclient: attach to kai engine host at 192.168.0.102

thats what the log says . . . but there isnt any traffic . . . i did a packet capture to see.
any insight would be appreciated.
