TVRN is a quick little app I whipped up when i needed to rename some shows that were in the correct order, but had the wrong numbers (like when a season 2 starts with #13, 14, 15, etc). I couldn't find a simple file renaming utility that had an index option, to add numbers to the files based on their order alpha-numerically.
Screenshot:
The preview pane updates as you make changes so you can see what you're doing and don't have to count characters. You can also turn off the index option.
This is a .NET 3.5 app, cause that's just what Visual Studio defaulted to (I wasn't planning on publishing this, but in the spirit of open source I thought I'd give back what I could). I probably won't support it without good reason but the source is included so feel free to do whatever you'd like with it. It was built with VS 2008 and .net 3.5, but it doesn't do anything too special so it might be possible to convert it to 2.0 to run in mono (I've never downgraded an app before, so I wouldn't know).
Btw, there's no installer, just run the exe.
