The way screensavers work has changed on trunk*. This at least affects setting the Slideshow folder. There also doesn't appear to be a way to exit out of the settings dialog when going in through the Addons view (not sure if that's a skin issue or not).
I read in another thread that you're thinking about cleaning up the views code. Maybe time for a new branch? Not sure as I don't know if this changes the possibility of keeping the skin compatible with both addons and non-addons versions of xbmc.
