I followed Mcborzu's quick instructions in his FAQs that explained how to get the latest Night.
Though, my XBMC is in a slightly different directory:
cd "/c/Program Files (x86)/XBMC/addons/skin.night"
...anyways, it downloaded everything fine and said night was up to date. I just don't know how to access it through XBMC (it still shows old version from XBMC official repo). When I navigate to the directory where git supposedly downloaded skin to--(c/Program Files (x86)/XBMC/addons/skin.night)--all I see is the skin.confluence folder.
My skin.night folder is in the following directory:
C:Users/USERNAME/AppData/Roaming/XBMC/addons/skin.night
but I believe that is the one from the officlal repo, so where is the git pulled one?
Edit: I found a folder in my root created by git named "c" if I go further this is what it looks like
C:c/Program Files/XBMC/addons/.git/
