tried disable the auto check, r-install the addon and adding more folders.
nothing worked. here the log:

also, what about importing watch/unwatched status, will this be possible in the future?

great idea!

installed it yesterday, but it only imported 176 movies (have around 700)
now, even when i add a new movie, it doesn't show up on the site. :confused2:

some suggestions:
- ability to rate movie or mark as recommended (profile can show recommendations or newest)
- ability to add covers where the site didn't find them by itself
- mentioned before, but imdb- or manual input support... some of my movies and a lot of my feature length documentaries can't be found on tmdb. it would be great to have the possibility of adding those too.

I want to respond to everyone's comments here when I can get to them, but I thought it'd be worth mentioning the changes I've made today first which may help a lot with submissions.

- A library update will now continue processing the rest of your movies, even if one fails for some reason. I'll be looking into exactly why they fail, but for now, this should let the update continue gracefully. I've rerun some of your update jobs myself, and it's added a lot more movies (i.e. ironmantetsuo, you have 514 now).

- There is a "Refresh Info" button on each movie page (for signed in users only). Clicking this will repull the info from tmdb, and update things like poster, overview, etc. This is handy if you want to add some info to tmdb like a missing poster, and then want that change reflected in your collection. There may be a delay in the tmdb API from as soon as you update a tmdb movie to when you can get the changes by hitting the "Refresh Info" button, so YMMV.

- Lots of posters that were missing yesterday that actually did exist on tmdb are now added.

I'll try and get to all your comments/suggestions soon enough Smile

hi, have done as you suggested and did the manual start, it works, but it stops scanning , and only says i have 341 movies, when i have over 1000, i don't even have a hard drive with only 341 movies on!! lol, any suggestions as to why this happens?
Great plug-in as well!
Thanks

yeah now there a few more movies but not all of them yet... i guess it will be better in time.

related movies seems to show the same movies almost every time.

what about option to edit/delete your own comments?

also, see latest comments on home page or something will be good.

Your site doesnt like passwords that start with a Cap Letter. It didnt work for me until I changed the password to all lowercase letters

Please note: If you downloaded the addon in the last 24 hrs or so I had the wrong API url and your updates would have failed Blush But, it's fixed now so downloading from Github again will clear that up. Sorry!

Alright, I've made a lot of bug fixes and changes to improve the system, mostly with the backend and processing but a few that you guys can see on the web app.

- Comments can now be deleted
- Account activation is done now through your first library update, not an email
- Library updates are much improved, working well
- Only movies with images on homepage
- Related movies now give a better selection
- Refresh info button to grab changes from TMDb
- Lots of other stuff

I have a better understanding for support of movie titles outside of English. If your movie title in another language gets a match at TMDb, that title will show in your library. If your title is set as a localized title of an English title movie, the match will be made for the English language version. If there is no match, the movie won't be added. Certain languages, like Hebrew, won't find matches at the moment.

So, your XBMC library updates and total count should be a close match to what you see on the site now. If you haven't run an update in a while, try sending one in again. The system has been much improved and doesn't halt when an unrecognized movie comes along. I'm interested in finding examples of wrong matches that some of you are reporting. Can you leave examples of movie / year that you have in your library but aren't showing up on the site? I want to see if it's on my end, or TMDb's end.

Some specific feedback:

@fanaticffwd: You are confirmed now, and is your library full now? I see 606 at your profile.

@innyinskip: XBOX compatibility: I'm not working on at the moment, but I've added it to my to-do list in the future. It shouldn't take much change from the current setup. Stay tuned.

@psike: Watched/unwatched is something I've been thinking about, yes, it will probably come in time. I'm not too familiar with movie sets, but I think they're working now (this is a set, right? http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/3294). Still having issues with submitting after adding more movies to your library? As for fixes, I've fixed that related movies problem, thanks for catching it. And, I've implemented the ability to delete comments in case someone makes a typo. And, recent comments are now shown on the homepage. Whew, that's a lot of stuff Smile

@ironmantetsuo: I see 534 now - this is correct, I think, because the remaining ~150 aren't found on TMDb. Any you think should be there? I also love the recommendation idea! I've added it to the todo list. You can now add covers where the site missed them by adding them to TMDb, then clicking "Refresh Info" on the movie on this site.

@falafael: Resend your library - I think you'll see a much higher count now.

@Abeerdrinker: I can't repro that - starting with or without caps is working fine for me, on new accounts or changing passwords. Let me know if it comes up again or if you have more specific steps. I see your library count at 541 and that's roughly what you had submitted, but in your signature you mention 900. Are those 900 movies in XBMC or just a total count of outside as well?

@cherzo: I'd love to pin down which movies are coming up wrong. What are the movie titles / year you are sending that aren't coming up correctly?

@IIINeOIIINL: My stupid mistake - committed and pushed my local testing API url instead of the proper site to the addon. What a stupid mistake, that won't happen again! Redownload the addon and it'll work fine.

Alright - so, I'm looking to hear back from some people on specific movie problems and get those sorted out, but the site and addon are looking good and I'll hopefully submit the addon within a week's time.

It had been failing up until your new release at git tonight. Now everything seems to be working fine. I was fixing an issue I had with JSONRPC but it seems to have been addressed.

I will post my results as to finding cover art and hopefully can be of help for some. http://sharethe.tv/d1ddyp0p/movies

Note:
I have at current over 1030 movies that should come up. http://sharethe.tv/d1ddyp0p/movies
I have them named as "movie title [year]"
Trilogies and higher use Roman Numerals
Duo's use (2)
Most movies require ":" as in, Austin Powers: Goldmember

Some of these file naming techniques may help people. I am working on a script to auto-rename movies to that standard.

Possibly on searching libraries, add a filter for common names of movies from release groups, since many download their media from places such as the pirate bay. ie the.godfather.xvid.scenegroup.DvDRip.avi. This would make uploading to the share site more reliable.

Almost all the movies that show up in one of my scans show up similarly on sharethe.tv

A few ones that will not show up AND/OR I cannot find coverart through scrapers are:

No Cover Art:

2 Hitmen
City of Rott
Frozen Days [2005]
My Teacher's Wife
Nothing but Trouble

1033 Movies Showed UP.... My List Shows...1095.....
Many of the movies not showing up are ones I added to the library myself, about 5 XXX movies, 10 HD duplicates, various Dr. Seuss movies (questionable if they are movies), etc....

GREAT JOB! The lookup seems to be fairly spot on to IMDB. Perhaps a way of US adding our information to a fallback scraper that can gather the cover art, etc... little sql host? We could add the metadata for the one's we notice don't come up...

THEN.... you could post a "wall picture" of every user's movies...kind of, allow a searchable database and a source of mucho metadata....hmm>. Wink

wow, you working really hard on this.

movie sets not TMDB thing, it's XBMC. you can read about it here:
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Movie_Sets

229 movies uploaded to site instead of 238. i think it's good enough for something new. Smile

is this TMDB or ShareTV problem?
-http://sharethe.tv/movies/riverdance-the-new-show-1996 (wrong image)
-http://sharethe.tv/movies/tommy-tricker-...eller-1988 (wrong image)
-http://sharethe.tv/movies/delete-duplicate-beetle-juice (title)
-Super.Mario.Bros. return this http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/40497 instead of this: http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/9607
-Billy.Connolly.Live.2002. returns this http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/49586 instead of http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/24491
Billy.Connolly.Live.Was.It.Something.I.Said.2007 won't upload to site although it's on TMDB http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/22352

I would also suggests adding recent comments to followers and following pages.

And something like popup box with movie name when hover posters. sometimes it's hard to see movie name just from the poster.

On the movie status pages on share.tv, is it possible to add a link to IMDB?
