dear all,
i have the following problem:
when i start playing a movie over the network using samba, the player stops just after a couple of seconds.
i believe that is a cache setting problem so i report here my configuration:

[xbox]------[gateway]-----[linux share]

dashboard: evox 3921
xbmc: 16-10-2003 (european format ) :d

on the smb.conf is present the following line:
socket options = tcp_nodelay so_rcvbuf=8192 so_sndbuf=8192

i tried to add <cachesize>8192</cachesize> on the xbmc xml config file, but unseccesfully.

any idea/comment??

i'm having the same problem with latest xbmc cvs 18.10. and windows xp. all files are visible etc. but video playback quits after half a second or so.

this should be fixed in latest cvs, make sure u delete both 0face008 folders

i'm already using the last cvs 18-10-03 and i'm having the same problem, and yes, i've deleted all the 0face files.

i've tried using several dash's, but nothing seemed to work.

xbox always hangs after 5 minutes. i though it had something to do with the screensaver, but i've changed the delay from the screensaver and the xbox keeped hanging after 5 minutes.

maybe your problem is with the "spin down hdd" option? try turning that off.
