Yes - normal in the Camelot 9.11 version, but it needs some rework:
1. download the icons
2. copy these to the XMBC 9.11 location: .../XBMC/skins/alaska/media/homeicons
3. check the naming used, some are slightly different (scriptsicon vs programsicon vs gamesicon)

Naming covention in 9.11:
gamesicon.png -> use the profilesicon (squirl)
moviesicon.png
musicicon.png
picturesicon.png
playdiscicon.png
programsicon.png -> use the addonsicon
settingsicon.png
tvshowsicon.png
videosicon.png
weathericon.png
shutdownicon.png
scriptsicon.png -> use the addonsicon

Hi, I love these icons and would like to try them out. I'm using the most current Alaska Revisited release with Dharma Beta 1. Forgive me if my question is obvious as I'm still fairly new to XBMC.

Since the folders are set up differently with Dharma now (no more skins folder), is there a way I can replace the default icons with these?

I tried doing it within the program but I can seem to only replace the backdrops and not the icons themselves.

I was trying to find that folder and had completely forgotten that there was another XBMC folder under Users. Laugh

How would I reduce the size of the wording below the icons with this mod?

For Favourites, the F and S are both cropped on my tv.

Also, would it be at all possible to have a BBC iPlayer icon in an ice cube?

This text is with the large font that Hitcher selected for Alaksa
I think you need to adapt the label type / sizxe in Includes_HomeIcon.xml in the 702p xml directory.
Other option is to use the Unicode version, the font is less wide.

Personaly I like it when the font is so large, it slips off the screen, a bit artistic Smile

I love this icon set....installed to C:\Users\buddy\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\skin.alaska.revisited\extras\homeicons

But not sure how to enable it in the skin? Sorry as I know i'm missing something obvious.

I found the problem....

Debug log was showing this:
01:46:13 T:19164 M:274161664 ERROR: Texture manager unable to load file: special://skin/extras/customicons/tvshows.png

Looking at that folder, the icons are actually named tvshowsicons.png.

Removed "icons" from the end of each name, and presto, started working.
