even more (less?) minor (can be solved by an external http server) is https, and multiple users auth.

i'll be forking this on github and messing with https support (guessing it's not (very?) hard ), multiple users support can be done using an external http server.

The webserver in XBMC does not understand https (yet) but I guess you where only poking at external http server in this case at any rate.

With regards the curl exit 22, I'm guessing (currently on vacation/holiday so can't check) that I've forgotten to add authentication to a particular URL request (something like fanart).

Happy for any patches/code and github is up always up to date. Only thing missing is the resume/watched functions that I'm putting in.

1. http streaming skip forward adn bak, (known issue) would be great to fix this

is it possible to overcome this? for me this would make this a perfect plugin, otherwise this is great plug as long as you want to watch straight through.

Sorry I've been neglecting this plugin a little while I worked on another - although portions on that plugin will probably make it over here too...

I looked at the code last week, and I can see why seeking doesn't work. The web server isn't setup to respond to partial file requests (range). I can see what sorts of changes are needed, but I don't understand the webserver callback and where the various variable used for the callback are. It's filed as a ticket, so someone should get round to it, or perhaps give me a few pointers and I can have a look at doing it myself..

With this, is it possible for the client to make changes on the server or "mess things up", or can it solely just play tv shows, films, etc?

Also, would there be any easy way to edit this to function with music/pictures?

i used to use this plug and liked its function, any plan to update it to work with current builds? it broke a while ago.
