[RELEASE] Pneumatic
iDude Wrote:Fixed

I just tested the same release and you're right. Some process (I'm guessing DVDPlayer) is still accessing the file when the nzbs addon tries to delete it. Don't know if this is XBMCs fault but the nzbs addon needs to handle this exception anyway. Maybe Popeye can take a look at it?

iDude,

Have you got it working? What release have you got? Thanks for all your hard work, such a clever addon making the whole process simple. Thanks again.
Any ideas Popeye?

No I couldn't get it to work.
I used this release: Panic Button 2011 720p BluRay x264 7SinS

We have to wait for Popeye to look into it. I'm currently at work so I don't have time to work on this. Maybe tonight...

No rush mate. We have gone this long without. I'm thankful it's not my settings that are wrong. I managed to get one film to work out of the 10 or so I tried.

Hopefully it's a simple fix for Popeye..

simon_rb Wrote:It setup fine however when I tested a film it sent the request to SABNzbd and it started the download then waited for the first RAR, then the "working" came up in the bottom right hand corner, after a few seconds I got a script error. This is the furthest I have got so far.. am so close.. Looks like a problem with the NZB player/streamer addon setup rather than the NZBMatrix. Log is below if anyone can help.
Cheers

That looks like the same error I am getting with the regular nzbs plugin. Are you using the nightlies? Here is my post:

Yes mate - I'm using the nightlies. I believe mine was compiled mid October. Whats strange is I did manage to stream one movie..

I'll take a look at your post
Cheers

Edit:- yes looks like the same. Can you play one video before you get the error every time?
Reply
Yeah I can play one video then I have to restart xbmc to avoid the error.

I can't even play one anymore. I have only managed to play one video and that was yesterday.

OK so I just wanted to take a look at what's going on but suddenly everything is working fine. I tested about 15 Movies and every single one of them played without any problems. Including the Panic Button release I mentioned earlier.

Could you test it with the latest nightly if possible? I install them on a daily basis and maybe something changed that fixed this behavior.

thanks

I am out today.. Will update tonight. What is the best way to update? Just download and install? Or is there a way from doing it from inside the program? Sorry for such a noob question.. I'm on windows 7.

I just download the latest release from here and install it over my current installation. Never had any problems this way. But please make a backup before installing a new version:

@iDude
Would you happen to know why I can't select a view like Media Info 2, Fanart, ect. I can in others like nzb.su plug.

I am using confluence skin.

Doubt it. If their site would've had any problems then we wouldn't have been able to start the download at all.
The logs indicated that xbmc-nzbs wasn't able to delete some dummy files it created in order for XBMC to start playback. As far as I understand this is the process:
  • Send NZB to sabnzbd
  • wait for first rar
  • when the rar file is available create dummy files (r00, r01, etc.)
  • Send the first rar to XBMC to start playback
  • delete the previously created dummy files so sabnzbd can move the newly downloaded files into this folder

The dummy files are needed because XBMC expects all files of the rar set to be available (Don't know why though)

Sorry don't know yet. I have the same problem with the refocus skin. I'll take a look at it tonight.

dr99 Wrote:Popeye,

Now that the xbmc nightlies are in a feature freeze and about to hit beta, would you look at the script errors that have plagued the nightlies since about mid June. The first video you play works fine but the second one gets this error. I replaced the filenames with *

Looked at you log and you are trying to play a mkv. Some of these XBMC tries to read the end and thus the first and the last rar is needed. I have what I need from a prof of concept hack so I'll just have to get it into my code.
All you others with problematic movies, check if its a mkv, this could be a reason.

I see this thread is full of activity, nice Big Grin .
