That does sound fimilar. I'll check for that and if it doesn't work, I'm probably going to give up. Windows Media Center does what I need now.

Hi!
I also have the same problem as thearm and vader88.
Eveything seem to work when i uncheck the "Use The Abstract Remote Model" option.
But my up/down/left/right/ok buttons gets double signals.
Any ideas?

OK So here's a fix to the double clicking arrows, and the people who couldn't get all the buttons to work right. Use either abstraction to send MCE commands, or translator to send keyboard commands, trying to mix and match doesn't work.

to fix the double click problem when using irserversuite with translator (keyboard repeats) i just deleted the remote.xml in the xbmc/system/keymaps folder.

I'm relatively new to XBMC, but I love it already. I currently use it with my usb-keyboard, but I was wondering if it is possible to control with an old Bang&Olufsen IR Remote. If I use it through a IR receiver on my HTPC, would it be possible to map my keys on the remote to functions in XBMC?
I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
