I have my xbmc on vista32 running on my htpc on my living room
in other room I have a computer contains all the mp3's.
when I try to browse from XBMC to my pc, I can see all the directories, but only on some of them I can see the files. I had the same problem with my old xbmc for xbox.

for example you can enter directory "Nirvana - IN utero" and you'll see all the files in it, but in other case you enter "Nirvana - Nevermind" and you won't see any files inside...

how can I fix this?

Shutdown Xbmc. Can you access those folders directly from Vista?

yes, from explorer I can see all the files.

in the meantime, you'll need to map a drive.

nope
didn't work either.
some folders just looks empty...but they aren't.
