hello, 

my first post so apologise in advance is this sounds bizarre, 

i have kodi setup as my media player on my windows 10 pc, all local media is on the pc, works like a dream as a media centre connected to my tv. 

unfortunately i need to move the pc to another location in the house, 

i have kodi installed on my fire stick - is it possible to locate and stream my local media from the windows 10 kodi setup, so it can be viewed via the fire stick ?

You will need to setup up a network that the firestick can access. The media is then shared between your PC and the firestick.
You can use SMB (wiki) for Windows.
You can also use UPnP (wiki) or the Mezzmo addon by @jbinkley60 ... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=366906

Though using a Firestick is not a great option for Kodi. It is low powered and has a small storage for the cached images displayed in the library.
