v20 4k23.98 hdr playback fails
#1
I’m having trouble getting 4K HDR playback working on my NUC11. I just did a fresh install of libreelec beta1. It seems that 4k23.98hz files won’t output video. if I un-whitelist 23.98, then it plays back at 4k60, but stutters (also I don’t have HD audio working yet). I have played all these files back via coreelec on my odroid n2 at 4k24 previously.

here is a log where it fails to play at 23.98hz

any thoughts?

thanks

Have you updated the BIOS? I had several issues with video and hd audio until I did this on a NUC11PAHi70, if you haven't updated the BIOS then Intel website to see if there's an update for your specific model, for example for some of the Intel g11 there's this update https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...gl357.html
For Linux systems the F7 BIOS update method can be used.

I'd also suggest using the HDMI 2 connector since I'm led to believe that's the native HDMI 2.0b one, whereas the HDMI 1 is DP1.4 converted to HDMI 2.0b.

good thought, but my bios is all up to date. You’re definitely right about the HDMI2 connector — I figured that one out by trial and error already. I don’t know why I am running into so much trouble.
