I am using kodi and i noticed when i do nfos it doesnt follow the number of actors on the nfo it adds actors from the main show onto the episode when i view the episode cast is there a way for kodi only to show the actors that are listed on teh episode nfo then the entire show  since it shows every actor insetad of the ones listed in the nfo for that episode?

I noticed it does show the episode actors first but it still adds the tv show actors after the episode cast list is there a way to stop that form happening when i click and view the episode and it shows actor images i just want only the actors that appared in taht episode not the full cast list afterward

Does the episode actor number order need to match the tv show actor order number is that why tv show actors are duplicating? Sorry first time i am using a nfo only?  Sorry for all the posts today I am just trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Also do i need to add a non existing order number for the episode so the actor doesn't duplicate?

Sorry am just stumped since am trying everything sicne its adding episode actors that isnt in the episode nfo for the actor list its adding from the tvshow actor list as well for that actor.

It adds teh correct episode actors when i use nfo only but then it shows who didnt appear in taht episode after the actors who appeared in the episode is that supposed ot be correct or is there a way i can fix it so itt only shows the actors that appeared in that episode for nfo only. Example i added a looney tunes short with 3 charcters who appeareed in that episode then it showed all the other actors who were in the main tv show actors afterwards when i click info and it shows the episode information and cast list it shows every actor instead of who was only in it.

Sorry for all the costant posts inthsi about this just am frustruted.

When displaying actors for episodes, it is normal for both episode actors and tv show actors to be displayed. That cannot be controlled by nfo files or scraping as it is controlled by Kodi core.
For shows like Doctor Who it can become quite annoying when showing actors that have not appeared in that episode.
I am not aware of any workaround to fix the issue. The entire Actors feature in Kodi does need an overhaul.

Thanks anyways. I found myself a slight work around just need to make sure that in the tv show nfo the characters appaered in every episode then it wont carry over so the tv show nfo only shows characters taht appeared in every episode and the episode nfo has the characters that appeared in that specfic epsiode.

So i figured out in a way it can follow how it does for the TMDB scraper and how its sorted on their site. Im usng MediaElch and using tvmaze so i can do my own custom actor images and stuff so i can use the actual caharacter images instead of actor images.

So in a way it can be controlled by an nfo you just need to make sure the tvshow nfo has actors/characrters that appeared in every episode then do the episode nfo the normal way actor/chracter that appeaered in that episdoe then you can control how it scrapes it. Example The jetsons do the 4 main characters in the show section since tehy appeared in every episode of every season then do the episode actors then the tv show actors wont carry over.
