How do I add videos to Kodi
#1
I have several videos of the olympics.  I have noticed that some of the mkv files also have .par files and wonder if that is ok (not sure)  I currently have 4 of these files which I have in their own folder.  I tried to just do it and they are not behaving - suspect I scrwed up.

thank you......

You will need to create nfo files for each of your videos.
Do you want them in your Movie or TV Show library? Personally I would add them as a TV Show but separate the sport content out of normal TV Shows using a Smart Playlist and a new Sports menu item.
You can also check the SportsDB if they cater for the Olympics and use the SportsDB scraper... https://www.thesportsdb.com/

I don't know what a .par file is.
