v21 Movies scraped with tinyMediaManager cannot be scanned in Kodi
#1
Hello,
Log File:
ijiqikejiw (paste)

Issue:
System: Android TV connected to a portable hard drive
I use tinyMediaManager (default setting) to scrape movies, and then set the content in kodi (default setting):
Choose information provider-local information only
Movies are in separate folders that match the movie title-Enable
Scan Recursively-Enable
As a result, my movie was not added to KODI

Kindest Regards

There don't seem to be any nfo files. Are you sure TMM has created them and saved them next to the movie?

Can you post a screenshot of one of your movie folders so I can clearly see all the files in the folder.

Your problem is in the TMM, there are no obviously *.nfo files generated and movies weren't renamed by TMM.
I use TMM (the older free version) for years and it renames folders and files, works like a charm in Kodi.
But don't ask me if that ever was the default setting. But I know TMM has a setting for the kind of *.nfo files to be written, and there is setting for Kodi format.

Thanks. That looks ok.
For some reason, Kodi cannot see the nfo file.
Can you post the nfo file at a file hosting site for me to download, and provide the link. I will test it.

You share your external disk between a Windows computer (to run TMM and display these screenshots) and an Android box (for Kodi).

Are you sure than the NFO files are visible from the Android box, in short that they have the same access rights as the movie files ?
What happen if you run Kodi directly on Windows ?

This is normal. The .NFO files have been created by your Windows system, so they can be read by it.
The question is : Does their access rights (files permissions) allow them to be read from the Android system ?

I don't know how to check if Android TV supports nfo format, but when my setting is: Choose information provider - The Movie Database Python, it can scrape and scan movies (although I don't want to use this option because I have to use VPN)

I just discovered something, I don't know if it's helpful: when I use the file manager that comes with Android TV, nfo files won't display; When using a third-party file manager, it can display
