Anyone know what's this problem about? I searched but didn't find solution.

So, is anyone else having trouble watching "The Rings of Power" via Kodi? I'm using an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max. I can access other Prime Video stuff via Kodi without any problems. Using the official Prime Video app on the same device I can watch the series (but the Prime Video app has a tendency to skip frames which Kodi doesn't, so I prefer to use Kodi when I can). In the Kodi add-on I can search for the series okay, but when I go into it, it doesn't show any available episodes.

Are you using the Web API in the addon settings? Under Amazon.TLD. I assume it needs to be turned on.

I had to refresh from the context menu in several areas to clear out cached data. For me it was already in the watchlist from earlier this year though.

This link is not specific to our issue, but it seems the option was introduced years ago to fix similar issues:

https://github.com/Sandmann79/xbmc/issues/164

I tried this option disabled and the addon still selects the first audio stream...

Did you ever find a solution? I found out over the weekend that disabling MPD alteration causes the wrong language to be selected in movies. Technically it is the right language, but it is the stream with audio descriptions. The subtitles also do not seem to work. For example, watching "Thirteen Lives" I want forced subtitles and English audio. With MPD alteration on I get that by default. If it is disabled, then I get English audio descriptions and no subtitles available, even after updating the language during playback. Conversely with MPD alteration on, tv series will play the first available language, which could be Arabic or Czech but with it disabled it plays English language.

Same for me. I can play "The Rings of Power" through Chrome and it is listed in my playlist. In Kodi, I get to the playlist but clicking on the playlist, which should take me to the list of episodes, shows a blank list with an .. but nothing else. Changing the settings to playback in the browser does not make any difference to this. Conversely, as a test, Clarkson's Farm works as expected showing the episodes and playing either in Kodi or in the browser according to settings (Kodi much preferred for ease of control).

I think there is no solution for that without modification in the addon (I assume this issue - https://github.com/Sandmann79/xbmc/issues/122) the other addons, absolutely all of them work without problems and they select the preferred audio language track... just prime video addon doesn't work like that and I have to change the audio track manually...

I am getting:

Code:
Error
Inputstream.adaptive is mossing on your Kodi install.  This add-on is required to play this content.

Is Inputstream.Adaptive available for linux 64-bit?  Not finding it on an add-on search.

EDIT: ah, I see this is provided by an external package, at least on Arch.

Code:
community/kodi-addon-inputstream-adaptive 19.0.7-1 (kodi-addons kodi-addons-inputstream) [installed]
InputStream client for adaptive streams for Kodi 18+

Yep, exactly the same issue here. I see no errors in the logs at all. But no episodes shown. I upped all logging and saw no errors at all. See https://paste.kodi.tv/ekupefawiv.kodi for a trace of logs I pulled out of the kodi log. If a full start up to error log is needed let me know.

If it makes any difference, I am on windows, happens in multiple of my kodi setups and on both windows boxes I can got to the web and see/play this without issue. And same that I can see and play other content.

Yeah, ignore me, saw later posts after this -- so the web API fixed it for me also.

RE: Amazon VOD [plugin.video.amazon[vod|-test]] - skiamade - 2022-09-14

Hi to all from Italy
I have the same problem @scanner ... this year AmazonVOD don't work with live event ... it says "the event is not possible in your country" but with the App Prime Video i can look live event.
I think they have intriduce some more controls ... i think in kodi need generatea captcha code to insert in Amazon web page for certificate the device using kodi ... I think for Prime  kodi and original app are 2 differents device also if they running in one single device.
When I install the first time Amazon VOD in kodi he ask me to certificate the device but I don't know how can i get this.
Sorry for my bad English
Grazie
