XBMC starts "zoomed in" - rock99rock - 2008-06-29 Its obviously zoomed in when started. The resolution of the screen is 1080p, but XBMC seems to think that the resolution is higher than that? This is with the resolution set to 1920x1080p in the screen settings in XBMC. IT shoul dbe the same!! Help please, im running in -fs mode. If i remove -fs mode, the windowed version seems twice the length of the native res of the screen. Thanks, Rock - daveUK - 2008-06-29 i can confirm this in the latest release, it doesn't seem to remember the video calibration settings, very annoying having to reset them every time i use it. Desktop setting - rodercot - 2008-06-29 Are you selecting desktop1920x1080? dave - daveUK - 2008-06-29 full screen 1360x768. windowed or fs just the same. also tried copying the old guisettings.xml from the last version (which was working fine) - rock99rock - 2008-06-29 daveUK Wrote:full screen 1360x768. I can confirm this, exact situation. This is from the newest executable, rev 13630. It is zoomed so far in fact that only 20%- 25% (of the very center) is viewable. - rock99rock - 2008-06-29 On a side note, it did not matter which resolution i selected in the settings, it was always zoomed in. Im running Vista x64. - WiSo - 2008-06-29 Can't reproduce this zooming issue however the video calibration thingy is already fixed in svn. - rock99rock - 2008-06-29 WiSo Wrote:Can't reproduce this zooming issue however the video calibration thingy is already fixed in svn. Thanks for the reply Wiso. I dont know what else to do. I can barely get into the settings in this zoomed mode, to change the resolution. - bartdesign - 2008-06-29 I have the same problem, switching between interlace modes usually fixes the problems. You need to do this everytime you playback a video. - bartdesign - 2008-06-29 Consider this an edit to to post above: The XMBC menu's are renderd perfectly, but when playing a video only 20% of the top left is visible. After switching through interlace modes the problem is fixed. I calibrated and set up the correct resolution. - rock99rock - 2008-06-29 bartdesign Wrote:Consider this an edit to to post above: This is not related to my problem, my menus and everything thing else are zoomed in upon start of the software, in fullscreen or windowed. - rock99rock - 2008-06-29 I have noticed that when i shut down xbmc from within in the console, the wallpaper on my desktop has shrunk. XBMC seems to be running at the correct resolution, while changing the desktop resolution to something lower? Anyone see anything weird in here? 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167822848 INFO: Available videomodes: 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1920x1080 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1824x1036 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1768x992 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1440x480 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1360x768 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1280x1024 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1280x960 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1280x800 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1280x768 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1280x720 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1176x664 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1152x864 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 1024x768 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 960x600 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 848x480 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 800x600 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 720x576 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167806464 INFO: Found mode: 720x480 16:14:51 T:172 M:1167802368 DEBUG: Constructing surface 720x576, shared=00000000, fullscreen=1 16:14:52 T:172 M:1175982080 INFO: GL: OpenGL Vendor String: NVIDIA Corporation 16:14:52 T:172 M:1175924736 INFO: Drives are mapped 16:14:52 T:172 M:1175924736 NOTICE: load settings... 16:14:52 T:172 M:1175920640 NOTICE: Mapping drive P to C:\Users\Brian\Documents\XBMC [RnE]\XBMC\UserData 16:14:52 T:172 M:1175920640 NOTICE: loading C:\Users\Brian\Documents\XBMC [RnE]\XBMC\UserData\guisettings.xml 16:14:52 T:172 M:1175842816 DEBUG: calibration for 1080i 16:9 1920x1080 16:14:52 T:172 M:1175842816 DEBUG: subtitle yposition:1042 pixelratio:1.000 offsets0,0)->(1920,1080) 16:14:52 T:172 M:1175842816 DEBUG: calibration for 720p 16:9 1280x720 16:14:52 T:172 M:1175842816 DEBUG: subtitle yposition:697 pixelratio:0.950 offsets0,0)->(1280,720) 16:14:52 T:172 M:1175842816 DEBUG: calibration for 480p 4:3 720x480 16:14:52 T:172 M:1175842816 DEBUG: subtitle yposition:432 pixelratio:0.912 offsets0,0)->(720,480) 16:14:52 T:172 M:1175842816 DEBUG: calibration for 480p 16:9 720x480 (cant post log, say images are imbedded?) It is somewhat comforting, knowing that i am not the only one stuck without my fav interface What graphics are you using Dave? nay 3rd party software to manipulate the overscan of the screen? I think tonight, i will do a complete uninstall/reinstall. After that, im out of ideas until a new release. BTW, im running an EVGA 7150/630i mobo using the HDMI output. I should never have upgraded my previous version does the same thing as the new release |
