Guys do you add all your movie library to EMBER? or only movies that dont scrape with XBMC ? Ember only scrapes movies individually right ??

Ember can scrape in bulk (auto) for movies fine however you will have the usual accuracy issues if your file naming conventions are poor. Scraping in bulk also means that ember picks the poster and fanart for you. I prefer scraping one at a time to make sure I am happy with all the meta data and can pick my posters and fix any missing details (eg missing plots from IMDB). I expect most people using ember use it for all their movies as a precursor to xbmc scanning the nfo generated by ember.

hey all
im using ember for the 1st time the past couple days so please bare with me lol
i followed the link someone post about how to setup ember as in making a folder per movie and then i also set it to extract 2 "extrathumbs" during scraping, this went well on my "test" movie folder.
i set all my movie locations up in ember then told it to scrape my collection and this is where i noticed a problem.
on some movies it WILL NOT extract extra thumbs and if i try to do it manually either by loading the movie to do it or by trying to auto extract, it freezes ember and i have to atl+ctrl+del to force close it.
its not just 1 file format this happens with either, it happens with a ".m4v", ".mkv" and a "hd .avi"
anyone have any ideas as im pissed iv spent 3days placing my 640 movie collection into their own folders only to find a dozen of then wont give me the extra thumbs which is why i started all this in the 1st place

Just wanted to say thank you for picking up the torch on this great program and making it work. The EMM-r while great, seem to be plagued with bugs...

I use your version with my 4 TB of TV, Movies and Pr0n for my Boxee Box.

If anyone is struggling to scrape their porn videos, try downloading the xMM2 software (it's a crappy tool imo, but they have adult scrapers) and copying over the Adultcdmovies, Adultdvdempire and Adultfilmdatabase xml and jpg's into the EMM scraper folder. They are in the video folder inside the xMM2 scrapers folder.

Then, enable XML scrapers in EMM and select NFO scrapers and wait for the drop down to populate and select the scraper you want. I use adultdvdempire and it gets 80% of them.

I use these scrapers and they work great. I only copied over the adult ones so not to cause conflicts with the native imdb's scrapers that come bundled with this version.

Anyone have TV scraping, or TVDB manual input, working?

I tried to manually input TVDB numbers and it verifies them fine but does not pull in any info.

Can't get 32bit version to install, only 64bit, running latest version of emm.

Posters preview was all screwed up for me yesterday afternoon but now seems to be working, weird.

Creating extrathumbs is hanging on some of my movies, now just assigning fanart to the thumbs folder which is ok but an extra step or two.

Also noticed that a large amount of studio flags aren't being shown, is there a flag packet somewhere that i can download and install?

no problems with the tv-scrapper. Automatic and manual works fine. Also with rare tv-shows
