Funny that you mention this as i had that happen quite a few times... i was testing a raspberrypi at the time and just thought it was a hardware problem and the RPi failing on me..

I think this is due to the way rars are named and maybe even the file inside the rar.... It appears to be the newer releases. I believe Popeye is aware and working on it :-)

Is anyone using the .strm build of sickbeard ? I've set it up here however all my .strm files end up in my tv download dir that is configured on the config / post processing page. So instead of having show name\release.strm I just have a bunch of them combined in my download folder.

Anyone else having this problem or better solved this ?

I am using Pneumatic Nzb Watcher by badwornthing that is linked in the first post. By using this I am able to run the latest official sickbeard and let nzb watcher sort the .nzb files in the correct folders and create stream files for them.

It could be that the rar's contains more than one file.. I'll have to check..

How abot write rights in the incomplete folder? Logs could be helpful :-D

No, the rar wasn't broken.
i solved the problem by reinstalling xbmc from another repo.
it seems that rar playback is disabled in the ubuntu/debian repo.

Not sure if i'm doing this right ,had a few hiccups with sabnzb but finally got it to work. Using newznab I select a NZB it goes into buffering or Waiting for Nzb download for a while movies have yet to start , I do see them downloading in sabnzb though just no playback .

Welcome to the forum! Kind of vague description on what you are doing but I suspect you haven't set the correct incomplete folder. Post a link to your xbmc log (on e.g. pastebin).

I'm running sabnzb on a separate computer but all my folders in Pneumatic are set to the laptop C Drive that XBMC is running on.
my downloads start successfully but no playback yet.
