You'll want to actually press stop so that XBMC creates a "resume marker".

Not necessarily. By default, anything that has a resume point should ask you if you want to resume or playback from the start.

I've setup everything but cant get the stop and playback to sync, is it instant?

Are you running a recent nightly on the windows machine as well as the tablet?

It should be, but these are builds that are in development, so there's probably still some bugs to work out.

That is understandable, Might wait for the official build. Will this kind of thing also work with OpenELEC?
