Release Aura
Jurialmunkey:

When in Dialogvideoinfo, click on actor it takes you to your database. Would you consider a pop up box to select between local db and extendedinfo?

@jurialmunkey This is an amazing skin just what I have been looking for Smile

1 question though is it possible to turn off the little stars on TVShows for shows with new episodes? normally it shows total episodes unless a episode came out on the day?

Many Thanks

Performance wise it's a whole new world, the CPU is at a normal Level and it's much much smoother. The PI heats up when requesting Information (like Artworks, Cast, Crew etc.) but that's normal. For anyone on a low power Device remember:

- leave Alphabet disabled ( haven't seen anyways what that does, but takes a hit on performance)

1) Would you consider to add more Media Flags, like BluRay, 3D, DTS etc. like in Artic Zephyr? I like to see that when I'm choosing the Movie, maybe here besides/instead the "HD" Logo.
I've seen in the Showcase where you can enable/disable views that in "Big Poster" you have them on the Bottom, is that a old Screenshot, or maybe scratch that Idea during development? Also I see them in you Github Repo, but where are they used?

2) Would you consider adding support for TV Show next aired, to see upcoming Episodes of our Shows? Reason is basically the same, when watching a series I think it's great to see at a glance when the next Episode is due to be released.

Ah that is excellent news! Thanks for testing. Big Grin
Glad I could track down the points that where causing the most cpu overhead as it really shouldn't be that heavy a skin.

The Alphabet strip (when enabled) is accessible by pressing right/down from the scrollbar. It provides a strip of letters where you can quickly jump to a particular letter in the library. Useful for very large libraries, but it does seem to cause a performance hit on the RPI, so that's why its disabled by default.

The Media flags were in previously, I just introduced a typo when doing my code cleanup which made it stop working. Should be fixed now. I'm glad you pointed it out, because I noticed it missing before but I thought maybe it was just something funky going on with my network shares.
The media flags should show in the Big Poster view (as you noticed), the video info dialog, and in the OSD info pop-up when playing fullscreen video.

I'm trying to figure out where to put the next aired info, as it is a feature I use quite regularly and have been really noticing it missing in my daily use. I just haven't found a good place to put it yet!

Added on latest git. It will only work with a remote/keyboard. I haven't figured out a mouse solution yet.

Sure, thanks for optimizing Big Grin
Also for the explaining :-)
Will test the newest Version later. About the Next aired, why not right besides the Rating info? I mean for series there is a lot of spare place because theres only 2 Ratings shown.

My intention is to use the horizon genre icon pack by default, but I just haven't got around to submitting it to the official repo yet. Once it's on the repo I will be switching the dependencies over to use that instead.

Regarding the crash. Unfortunately, it looks like you have banned add-ons in your log, so I can't provide support (particularly as it looks like the crash is related to the add-ons you are using). Please remove the piracy add-ons and submit a clean log.

Whoops, sorry. I guess I'll have to figure something out. It looks like a harmless error imo. Anyway, thanks for your time. I'll be following the development of the skin regardless.

Jurialmunkey,

Thanks for adding the option to select extendedinfo. In extendedinfo, the additional images for an actor are CD size instead of picture size, I hope this makes sense.

Fixed. I originally changed it to a square aspect because I found some actor images were square or landscape and so would get cut off if the aspect was portrait. But after using the skin for a while, I've noticed that an actor image with a different aspect occurs so infrequently I doubt anyone will even notice it. I've kept the "tagged images" square because those are usually a combo of fanart and posters.

As some people seem to be struggling with adding library widgets and keep relying on inefficient skin helper widgets instead, I've now re-arranged the widget groupings to include a new "Default Widgets" group.
Inside default widgets you will now find 5 categories -- Movies, TvShows, Episodes, Music, and System. In each of these you will find a variety of widgets that are built using smart playlists and the library.

These default widgets will be much master than using skin helper.

If you have any suggestions for other default widgets please let me know.

Default Widget Run-down
Recently Added (Movies / Episodes / Albums)
-- Shows items recently added to your library, with the newest shown first

Recently Played (Movies / TvShows / Episodes / Albums)
-- Shows items recently played in your library, with the most recently played shown first.
-- TIP: I often find Recently Played TvShows to be more useful than In-Progress because it also works for shows that you have already watched before.

Random (Movies / TvShows / Episodes / Albums / Artists)
-- Shows random items from your library

In Progress (Movies / TvShows / Episodes)
-- Shows items that you started watching but haven't finished yet

Top Rated (Movies / TvShows / Episodes)
-- Shows items from highest to lowest rating

Unwatched (Movies / Episodes)
-- Random items from your library that haven't been watched yet

Top 100 Albums
-- Shows items most frequently played

IMDB Top 250 Movies
-- Shows items in your library that are on the IMDB Top 250 list (IMDB info must be scraped).

Nodes (Movies / TvShows / Music)
-- These are the base folders for that particular section in the library
-- Can be a useful replacement for categories widget

Genres (Movies / TvShows)
-- Shows a list of the genres in your library

Movies Sets
-- Shows a list of all the movie sets in your library

System
-- The weather and settings widgets

@jurialmunkey, is it possible to arrange the poster widgets in such a way that the background fanart gets more visibility? Similar to the way it is done in Arctic Zephyr vertical mode. In the current setup the background overlay sort of feels like it covers too much of the art. Also how about making it so that when you go over a poster the skin shows some minor info (plot summary, director, ratings etc.) and slightly darkens the rest of the posters? One would still have to navigate to the extendedinfo section to see the full cast and similar movies etc. I have very limited coding knowledge so have no idea about the work something like this would require so please excuse my ignorance. It's just a mere suggestion and maybe a shameless request. Smile Love the way it's looking so far, please do keep up the great work!

@Blurayx - Can you try latest git. I think it might be because Leia allows for multiple content paths for the one container and there was a duplicated content path. If it's not this, then I'm stumped.

Sir, perhaps you could add an 'Images' section in the info dialog that would be able to grab images from the Extrafanart folder and display them one after the other, which upon pressing enter wouuld enlarge, just like extendedinfo (EI) images section does. The advantage of this over that of EI is that only those vital images which the user prefers will be displayed unlike the EI one which grabs duplicate, overly edited and low quality images from the internet and displays them.

Jeroen's skin "Grid" has this amazing feature.

Also, is there a way to use IMDb plot outline instead of full summary just in that short space in the info dialog?
