i didn't realize that  when the sd hdhr dvr s/w install automatically upgraded the firmware on both my hdhr prime(cc on fios, which i am using hdhr record) and my dual, which i had been using for years with eyetv on my c2d minimac (stuck @ 10.6.8)-: v 20170930 disables the old discovery/tuning api, effectively bricking my hdhr:-( ...config_gui still works, but trying to load v 20161117 fails:-(

according to nick@sd https://www.reddit.com/r/cordcutters/com..._firmware/ it can be done, but i have yet to find the cli executable...any ideas?

i was able to find linux executable, but hdhomerun_config also failed

i was able to grok hdhomerun3_atsc_firmware_20161117​.bin (thanx to https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/view...hp?t=67945 ...i had hdhomerun_atsc_firmware_20161117.bin) and was able to downgrade​:-)

eyetv is now running channelscan, all is well:-)

turns out the problem wasn't firmware: my dvr mac had been rebooted, & eyetv auto-started w/o inbound firewall rule:-\

 Did you then try re-updating the firmware?  I'm not seeing any problem with the latest firmware on my HDHR3-US boxes.
